“Ideological justification is vital in obtaining willing obedience, for it permits the person to see his behavior as serving a desirable end.”

Its not even about obedience. There is a strong sense in the "right to rule" without the handy assistance of God giving you Divine Right.

I discussed this during my visits in 2011 and 2012 and those I spoke to at the receptions were dismissive. "They (the vast majority of people who make the world spin) always complain but fall into line / will do as they're told."

China's system was all the rage during both visits, this being right after the Peking Olympics and with "China's Century" entering its second decade and a model for getting shit done. (funny how times change), but as that comes crashing down both literally and metaphorically, I'm wondering if this fact has entered into the calculations of the WEF grandees.

Most attendees, at least in 2011/12 were there to be seen / do business and don't buy into any nonsense. As long as their nest is feathered, they couldn't give a shit - the history of the banality of evil in a nutshell.

Would consider going again, if I'm still on the roster following this, but by Christ it's expensive.

I've always found the tale of Solomon's ring as a great comfort in trying times.
